Woodstock Police managed to check 1,000 parked vehicles within a two hour period. 30 of those cars were unlocked and 65 drivers left their valuables in plain sight.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have wrapped up their annual Lock it or Lose it Campaign.
Officers were out in the community, making sure parked vehicles were locked and had valuables out of sight.
If a driver failed to follow these safety measures police would leave a notice on the windshield, warning them about the potential for a vehicle break in. They also left congratulation letters for those who did successfully secure their vehicles.
Over a two hour period, officers managed to check 1,000 vehicles, 30 of which were unlocked. 65 drivers also didn't hide their goods; including purses, wallets, cell phones, GPS Units and Christmas presents.
