The Woodstock Police Service conducted over 2,200 Festive RIDE programs last year and issued 16 impaired driving charges.
WOODSTOCK - It was a busy Festive RIDE season for the Woodstock Police Service.
According to Deputy Chief Nick Novacich, officers conducted over 2,200 RIDE programs between November and December of last year, in order to crack down on impaired driving during the holiday season.
A total of 16 impaired driving charges were laid in the end.
Meanwhile, the Oxford County OPP conducted 246 Festive RIDE programs last year with 26 impaired driving charges laid and three warning range suspensions issued.
