In the span of three hours Woodstock Police attended four collisions in the Friendly City.
WOODSTOCK - Saturday was a busy day for Woodstock Police. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. there were four collisions in the city. The first involved an elderly woman driving through the entrance of First Choice Hair Cutters in Woodstock.
12 minutes later at 2:12 p.m. police responded to a minor two vehicle collision near Montclair Drive that resulted in minimal damage. No charges were laid.
Less than two hours later a pick-up truck collided with a cyclist at the Springbank Avenue and Dundas Street intersection. The 26 year old, male cyclist from Woodstock suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The 27 year old driver of the pick-up was charged with driving with a suspended license.
For the third time that day at 5:07 p.m. police attended a collision at Springbank Avenue and Dundas this time for a two vehicle collision that caused minimal damage. No charges were laid.
Four minutes after Woodstock Police set up a RIDE program a 20 year old male from Tillsonburg was arrested for driving while impaired. The man will appear in Woodstock court later this month.
