Woodstock has received $1,569,496 worth of gaming revenue from the OLG between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023.
WOODSTOCK - The Friendly City will be getting a cheque for $393,490 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for hosting Gateway Casinos.
The fourth quarter payment is based on the casino's revenue from the beginning of January to the end of March. Woodstock has received $1,569,496 worth of gaming revenue from the OLG between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023
Minister of Finance Peter Bethlenfalvy said that the payments contribute to the overall economy of Woodstock.
"OLG’s Municipal Contribution Agreement payments are building strong communities where people and families can enjoy a high quality of life. These revenues help support local programs and critical infrastructure, making a real difference for gaming host municipalities"
The City has received $25,278,229 worth of gaming revenue ever since the casino first opened in 2004 and it sets the money aside for the Community Grants Program.
