The $412,615 cheque is for hosting the Gateway Casinos location.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock has received it's third quarter payment from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for hosting Gateway Casinos.
The cheque is worth $412,615. This means Woodstock has received $1,288,981 so far this fiscal year.
Looking at the grand total, the City has received $28,185,669 since the casino first opened in June 2001.
The City takes the money it receives from the OLG and put it towards the Community Grants Program. Local groups and non-profits have until March 3rd to submit an application for the spring intake for 2025.
