We got about 15 centimetres of snow in the Friendly City and we still have more on the way.
WOODSTOCK - We got quite the snow storm in southern Ontario.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says they had volunteer observers in the Friendly City yesterday.
"They came in with snowfall totals from the storm yesterday between 14 and 15 centimetres. This sort of fits in with the accumulations we got just to the southwest in the London area where they picked up about 12 centimetres and just to the northeast in Kitchener they picked up about 18 centimetres."
Coulson says the Hamilton area got about 15 to 18 centimetres of snow. Areas north of Lake Ontario got hit the hardest, with over 20 centimetres reported in the Whitby area.
But we're not done with the snow just yet. Coulson says they're tracking two weather systems that will move through the area this weekend, with the first one expected to hit tomorrow night.
"That could give us an additional two to five centimetres as it moves through. On the heels of that system, another one will move in from the American mid-west. The snow should begin Saturday evening, last through to Sunday afternoon and that could give us a fresh five to 10 centimetres."
Coulson says we can also expect below average temperatures going into February. Minus 2 is the average daytime high for this time of the year, and minus 11 is the average overnight low.
