Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell presented Jason Jolicoeur with the Service Cross from the Lifesaving Society in Queens Park earlier this week.
WOODSTOCK/QUEENS PARK - The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario has presented Woodstock's Supervisor of Aquatics and Recreation with the Service Cross from the Lifesaving Society.
Jason Jolicoeur was honoured for his 15 years of service during a special ceremony at Queen's Park early this week. That's where he got to meet the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell.
Jolicoeur oversees 55 certified lifeguards in the Friendly City and he's also in charge of Woodstock's Swim for Life program.
Director of Parks and Recreation Brian Connors says he is a valuable asset for the City.
"I’m so pleased to see Jason’s commitment and contributions recognized with this service award. His passion, energy, and dedication to helping people develop this essential life skill is infectious and really sets the tone for our whole aquatics team."
You can find more information about the City's aquatics programs online here.
