Two people have been charged with manslaughter after 26 year old RCMP Constable Shelby Patton died in the line of duty on Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - Two people have been charged with manslaugther after an RCMP officer was killed this weekend in Wolsely Saskatchewan.
Constable Shelby Patton died on Saturday morning after being hit by stolen truck. He was only 26 years old. Patton was working out of the Indian Head detachment when he tried to stop the stolen vehicle. He was hit while standing outside his cruiser.
41-year-old Alphonse Stanley Traverse and 42-year-old Marlene Velma Louise Pagee, both of Winnipeg, were arrested two hours after the incident. Both have been arrested on several charges, including manslaughter.
Over the weekend, Woodstock Police Chief Daryl Longworth offered his condolences.
