WPS Receives Grant to Help Fight Human Trafficking

The Woodstock Police Service has been given a grant of $22,433 from the Province to help in the fight against human trafficking.

WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service has been given grant money from the Province to help fight against human trafficking. 

The Province is investing $2.5 million in cash and proceeds seized from criminals to combat human trafficking. The money will help fund law agencies and community partners through the Civil Remedies Grant Program. Of the many agencies that submitted grant proposals, 33 projects received funding and will help fight human trafficking and support victims across the province.

Woodstock Police Service successfully submitted a proposal and received $22,433.00 to fund an educational program for frontline officers and community partners in an effort to combat Human Trafficking.
