The Woodstock Police Service has surpassed it's $2,000 Cops for Cancer fundraising goal and you can still donate to the campaign.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service has crushed their fundraising goal for the Cops for Cancer Campaign.
They set out to raise $2,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society when the campaign started at the beginning of September and they have already raised over $2,100 with one more week left to go. You can still donate to the campaign online here.
Detective Constable Nikki VanLeeuwen says this is an annual campaign for the Woodstock Police Service.
"Unfortunately cancer affects almost everyone nowadays so it's near and dear to everyone's hearts for sure. That's why we continue with the campaign every single year."
Twelve police officers and one civilian cadet will be shaving their heads for the campaign this year and it will be live streamed on the Woodstock Police Facebook page on Friday October 1st at 12:00 p.m.
