A 15 year old boy hit from behind by a pick up as he rode his bicycle in Zorra is in the intensive care unit in a London hospital. The cyclist was in a convoy of teens between 15 and 18-years-old who were riding at around 11 o'clock Monday night on the 47th Line of Zorra Township when the teen was hit from behind by a dark grey pick-up, which also knocked a second teen off their bike. The boys mother, Becky Byerlay told Heart FM her son Ryan was transferred to London Tuesday with a broken rib, some lacerations and a broken vertebrae in his lower back. Byerlay says her son is doing well and will not require back surgery and could be home as early as tomorrow. According to OPP the driver of the pick up stopped to speak briefly with the other cyclists riding with Ryan and when they indicated someone had been hit, the driver left the scene. The suspect vehicle is a dark grey pickup with large tires and two stacks sticking up on the back of the truck.
