EMBRO - The Township of Zorra is looking to give big thank you to all of their community volunteers with a free breakfast.
They will be at the Embro Community Hall on Friday October 2nd from 8 am to 10 am. and volunteers are asked to RSVP ahead of time with the township office. Zorra Clerk Karen Martin says the breakfast is just a way for the township to say thank you.
"There are so many great volunteers throughout Zorra Township and council and staff just really want to recognize the generous acts they provide to the township and they all have such a large impact on our entire community and they help to strengthen our community and help to improve the quality of life in our community so we really just want to reach out and thank them."
Martin says the people of Oxford County are very proud to live in their communities.
"Residents of Oxford County are very proud to live in their communities and we find very tight knit groups and tight knit communities and they all come together and assist in a variety of ways and I think it all comes back to having great communities and great residents within those communities."
Martin says they will be serving up a great breakfast for the volunteers.
"It will be a buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, pancakes, local maple syrup and toast and fruit and fresh coffee."
