The covered pavilion was funded by Zorra Township, several community groups, and a $90,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
EMBRO - You might have noticed the new pavilion if you visited the Embro Zorra Community Centre recently.
It's a 40’ by 80’ covered structure and the Township says it will be a fully accessible space for the community to hold sporting, cultural and social events.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held last Wednesday with Mayor Marcus Ryan and Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman in attendance.
Hardeman is happy to see this community-initiated project come to fruition.
"It’s great to see the result of the hard work that went into the planning and fundraising for this wonderful space. With the help of the provincial funding, Zorra Township has been able to create another accessible space for the community to enjoy."
This project would not have been possible without a $90,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in addition to other funds from the Township and several community groups.
