There are 40,161 cases of COVID-19 in the province after 115 cases were reported today. There were no deaths, however, and there are 36,381 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - There are 115 cases of COVID-19 in the province today.
As a result, the total number of cases across Ontario is at 40,161. Today's report says 5,903 of the cases are reported to be from residents in long-term care homes.
There were no deaths reported today, however, and the provincial death remains at 2,786 with 36,381 resolved cases. 1,799 of the deaths are reported to be from residents living in long-term care homes while eight of the deaths are reported to be from healthcare workers in long-term care facilities.
To date, 2,422,487 tests have been completed and 10,865 tests are currently under investigation.
The Province's report says there are 49 people currently hospitalized with the virus. They say approximately 36 hospitals did not submit their data to the Daily Bed Census for August 8th and it is anticipated the number of hospitalized patients may increase when reporting compliance increases.
There are 25 patients in ICU and 14 people are in ICU on a ventilator.
