Embro Fair hosting Dinner Theatre fundraiser.
The Embro Fair Board is preparing for their biggest fundraiser of the year.
For the 26th edition of their Dinner Theatre, they are mixing it up this year and having it catered by Quehl's in Tavistock.
Treasurer Doug Turvey says this year they will be performing a Norm Foster play.
"It's called Here on the Flight Path. If you look at the stage you would see two adjoining apartment balconies. In one apartment where I live, the actor called John Cummings, and then in the other apartment is three different ladies that live there over the three and half year time period. It's just the interaction with these three different women."
Turvey says they are hoping to raise between 15 and 20 thousand for the fair. He adds that if they didn't have this fundraiser every year, there would be no fair.
Turvey says it's a great night out.
"Right from day one we have always maintained that we were going to put on a quality show. Right from the meal, a candlelit meal at night, service is excellent, the food is excellent and the show right after. It's always been a quality show. It's always a comedy."
While there isn't an age restriction, Turvey says some of the content in the play may not be suitable for those under 14.
He says there are five shows:
Dinner and show $40:
Feb 22
Feb 28
March 1
Brunch and show $30:
Feb 23
Show only $18:
Feb 27
