Police want to thank area residents and businesses who have provided video surveillance footage. This is still an active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Woodstock Police or Crime Stoppers.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are searching for a possible armed suspect in the area of Huron Street and Knightsbridge Road.
Police were called to the area on Tuesday afternoon around 5:20 about reports of a man carrying what resembled a shotgun. The suspect is a man in his early 20’s wearing a dark zipped hoodie, blue jeans and a dark baseball cap and possibly wearing sunglasses.
Members of the WPS uniform branch, Criminal Investigations, and WPS K9 are still in the area searching for a suspect.
Police are requesting any homeowners or businesses in the area with video surveillance to check their cameras for any suspects matching the description between 5:15 pm and 5:30 pm. Any information can be forwarded to the Woodstock Police Service at 519-537-2323.
Area residents are asked to stay away from the area while police continue with their search and canvass efforts.
