The Ingersoll Theatre of Performing Arts to preform Pollyanna starting Friday
INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll Theatre of Performing Arts is going to teach audiences a thing or two about optimism in their latest production.
23 actors will bring the story of Pollyanna to life on the ITOPA Theatre stage, starting this Friday.
Director Lilyane Moyer says the family oriented show follows an optimistic orphan who goes to live with her Aunt in Vermont.
"Pollyanna plays the glad game. You always have to find something glad about whatever things affect you in life; you're always looking for the silver lining so it's a teachable moment."
Moyer says anyone over 6 years old should be able to grasp the message.
"This is really a family oriented show. Although it's not about Christmas the theme is a really good one especially now when we have so much political upheaval."
Multiple shows are scheduled throughout the next two weeks, leading up to their final day on December 17th. You can purchase tickets at the ITOPA Theatre Box Office or online.
