Woodstock Police have issued additional charges in relation to a property crime that occurred in July. Two people from Woodstock have been charged.
The Woodstock Police have added charges in relation to a property crime project that was reported last month.
Police have arrested 27 year-old Rebecca Lee and 29 year-old Justin Deadman, both from Woodstock, and they are each charged with the following:
22 Counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.00
Four Counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.00
Two counts of Break and Enter to Commit Indictable Offence
The Police Investigations Branch began an investigation into property crimes and thefts from construction in May. This was in response due to a fast increase in thefts happening in Woodstock The Investigations Branch and OPP executed search warrants at two properties on July 11th, recovering multiple articles of stolen property and seized a firearm. Police say they estimate the value of the recovered property is to be well over $100,000.00.
Lee and Deadman were each arrested and charged with the following:
- Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00 (3 Counts)
- Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00 (3 Counts)
