Alexandra Hospital is trying to make things easier by listing all their services on a Campus of Care sign and moving outpatient clinics to the first floor.
INGERSOLL - The Alexandra Hospital is trying to make it easier to access their services.
Integrated President and CEO for Alexandra Hospital, Crystal Houze, explains what the 'Campus of Care' is: "It is a sign that is outside of the hospital that lists all of our services, so hospital services, as well as our outpatient clinics, and any community partners that we have that are using space within the hospital. The intent of this is to allow the public to see what services are provided within our hospital."
Houze says other exciting projects have been going in the Ingersoll hospital to also help people navigate. "We've actually renovated the first floor so now all of our outpatient clinics are on the first floor instead of being scattered throughout the hospital. We did host a Chamber event to show the members of the Chamber, and some public members attended as well, to see the new space and to see what is offered."
This was an attempt to make it more senior friendly, and Houze explains how these changes will help the public. "They know where they are going, and it is all on one floor, it is easy to find, they have access to health care professionals that can help them navigate through the health care system. We know it can be very challenging for patients and families. We are very excited and we just encourage people to watch our sign, because as we work with our community partners and with other hospital partners we intend to bring more clinics and services to the Ingersoll area."
Houze added that they will be looking into erecting a sign at the other hospital she oversees in Tillsonburg.
