A late night apartment fire in Woodstock sent two people to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the fire that happened at a building on Hiawatha is not deemed suspicious. The Fire department had to rescue two tenants who did not have a working smoke alarm in their apartment. They were taken to the Woodstock General hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. The residents were evacuated so the building could be ventilated. They were allowed back in a short time later once it was deemed safe. Details on the damages or cause of the fire have not been released at this time. Woodstock Fire say a working smoke alarm in the hallway alerted 9-1-1 of the fire.
