The funds are available in two streams, one is a loan for businesses and entrepreneurs and another is in the form of grants for non profits.
OXFORD COUNTY - Local entrepreneurs, businesses and non profits are invited to apply for the 2021 Future Oxford Legacy Fund loans and grants.
They will have a special information session on June 1 for applicants to the Community Development Support stream. The stream offers grants to not-for-profit organizations that are working to support the goals of the Future Oxford Community Sustainability Plan.
You can register for the virtual event online here. It is happening on Tuesday June 1, at 12:00 pm.
General Manager of Community Futures Oxford Allan Sim says the funds are available in two streams.
"We have one stream, which is access to capital, these are loans that would be going to businesses to help them fund entrepreneurial activities, with an emphasis on youth opportunities, arts and culture, tourism, high tech manufacturing and grain technology."
Businesses can receive financing of up to $100,000 through a repayable loan with flexible repayment terms.
The second stream is Community Development Support Grants. This is for non profits non-repayable loans to not-for-profit initiatives that align with sustainable actions as defined by the three pillars of the Future Oxford Community Sustainability Plan.
