There's an opening on the Oxford County Library Board and you have until October 22nd to apply.

OXFORD COUNTY - There is an opening on the Oxford County Library Board.

The County is looking to fill the volunteer position with someone who is passionate about reading, literacy, and public library services.

If selected, you would ensure all 14 branches provide comprehensive, efficient public library services that reflect the unique needs for Oxford County.

The governance responsibilities of the Oxford County Library Board include maintaining a solid framework for the library’s operations, defining the overall direction and results to be accomplished by the system as set out in the library’s strategic plan and annual business plans, delegating authority to the Chief Executive Officer in a clear and appropriate manner, liaising between the library and County Council and between the library and the community, evaluating the results achieved by the system, and demonstrating accountability to key stakeholders through an annual report and a legacy document at the end of the board’s term.

Anyone interested must be at least 18-years-old, a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, and reside in a municipality with an Oxford County Library branch.

If you are interested, email your resume to County Clerk, Chloe Senior at csenior@oxfordcounty.ca before October 22nd at midnight. The selected person would fill the position for the remainder of the current term, which goes until December 2026.
