Police arrested an alleged bank robber after finding him hiding underneath his bed at the Queensway Motel in Simcoe.
SIMCOE - Police have arrested a robbery suspect who they found hiding underneath the bed at the Queensway Motel in Simcoe.
50 year old David Allan Duffy is accused of robbing the TD bank in Simcoe last Thursday. Police say he went into the bank with a note, demanding cash. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
OPP were tipped off to his location on Sunday and executed a search warrant at the Queensway Motel. They found Duffy hiding underneath his bed and took him into custody without incident.
He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Simcoe at a later date.

As a direct result, our officers were able to bring this incident to a successful conclusion."- states Inspector Lisa Anderson, Interim Detachment Commander, Norfolk County OPP.
