The local retirement home has been in Woodstock for the past 10 years.
WOODSTOCK - The Chartwell Oxford Gardens Retirement Residence has reached a milestone.
The local retirement home celebrates its ten year anniversary this month.
Community Relations Coordinator Kathy Deweerd says the facility is the type of place that makes everyone in the community feel right at home.
"You walk in the doors and it feels like a hotel, but if you go in a few more steps you'll feel like you're at home because you have such a sense of community and see friends and neighbors."
The building was purchased by Chartwell Oxford Gardens in 2016 and it has undergone changes in the last ten years.
Chartwell Oxfords Gardens plays an active role in the community and Deweerd expects them to remain active in the Friendly City for many years.
"We'll continue to engage the community and we really want to have an open door policy. If you haven't been in, come on in for a cup of coffee, we have fantastic cookies, and just have a nose around and see what we're all about."
