September is Big Brothers Big Sisters month
WOODSTOCK - It's Big Brothers, Big Sisters month in Woodstock.
It's Big Brothers, Big Sisters month and they are trying to get local businesses to help spread the word.
Fundraising and Marketing Assistant Shaylyn Jackson says local businesses can help paint Woodstock purple.
"We have some other local businesses who are participating by taking advantage of our free purple display starter packages and putting up little purple displays for the month of September."
Throughout September, Big Brothers, Big Sisters will also hold events.
Jackson says one of those events will be their annual car show.
"We have our annual car show coming up. It's on September 23rd. It's basically a big car show, it's a recruitment event. It's held at Canadian Tire in the parking lot there and we have all kinds of cars and people coming from all over Ontario to show off their cars."
The parking lot will be full of cars to look at on September 23rd, along with an engine blow up, 50/50 and more.
