Big Brothers Big Sisters Woodstock are settled in at their new location. The office space at 787 Dundas St. was given to them by Bill Van Haeren back in October. Executive Director Diane Hatfield is happy they now have room to grow. "We can run our programs right here in this building. We do have a SOAR (Social, Opportunities, Activities, Relationships) program that we'd love to grow. It's a program that started out to be for our unmatched kids, but it's really taken shape and we can see that growing and adding onto that in our Go Girls program and our Game On program. We can do more community programming because the site would be here," said Hatfield. The space has also given them bigger office space (in photo left) and a large boardroom (in photo right). "This is a real gift for the agency and we thank everyone that's been involved. There have been a lot of community people that have helped out. Donation of paint from Schaus Decorating, chairs from the Elm Hurst, and Bill started it all, so thank-you, thank-you Bill!" said Hatfield. She welcomes the community to check out the new location and get involved. They're looking for volunteers, especially big brothers. The organization served 326 children this year.
