Something exciting is about to take flight at Pittock
WOODSTOCK - The Canadian Raptor Conservancy is bringing their Birds of Prey to Pittock Park.
Conservation Area Clerk at Pittock Katie Ebel tells Heart FM it should be a great show for the whole family.
"So it is definitely something you would want to bring the family out to for one last adventure before school starts. It is definitely a show that kids are going to want to see, it also provides entertainment for every age."
The presentation may include a Turkey Vulture, Bald Eagle, Golden Eagle, Barn Owl, Great Horned Owl, Eagle Owl, Peregrine Falcon, Lanner Falcon, Ferruginous Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Harris Hawk, American Kestrel, or a host of other birds.
Ebel says they will talk about how the birds of prey benefit our eco system and they will be bringing in 5 live birds. Some of the birds will take flight and you will get to see them in action. With this in mind they are reminding people not to bring any pets to the show. The hour long show starts at 11 am on Saturday.
