Blandford Blenheim is declaring themselves a bicycle friendly community. A motion came before township council to bring an awareness campaign telling motorists to share the road with those on two wheels. Community Services Manager Ken Wood says signage will be going up around the township soon. "We also felt that it was important that we put in a cycle route within our community and develop a cycle route that would be on paved roads throughout the community and then take that to the master plan committee and that would encourage the County to look into possibly linking our route with other townships within the County. " Wood says the route would be nearly 60 kilometers long with half of the paths on County road and the other on township roads.
