The Toronto Blue Jays are hoping to make a return to Toronto this summer.
The team has submitted a request to the federal government that would see the team at the Rogers Centre for a homestand starting July 30th.
No venue has been announced for the ten-game homestand, which includes games against Kansas, Cleveland and Boston.
In June, team President Mark Shapiro announced the team would remain in Buffalo until July 21st.
This comes as Canada-U.S border restrictions are beginning to loosen.
As of today, double-dosed Canadians and permanent residents will be able to forgo the 14 day quarantine when they return home.
The Jays last played in Toronto on September 29th, 2019.
