Stratford Police say that crews have recovered the body of a 63 year old man from the Waterloo Region at the St. Marys Quarry who had been missing since Sunday.
ST MARYS - Stratford Police say that crews have recovered they body of a 63 year old man from the Waterloo Region at the St. Marys Quarry.
The name of the deceased has not been released. The man was snorkeling at the quarry on Sunday evening when he was first reported missing.
Lifeguards at the quarry tried to save him on Sunday and were not able to find him. The quarry is very deep and murky which made the search efforts difficult. Crews discovered the body today.

The quarry will be closed for awhile while town officials and the coroners office determine the next steps.
