Today council will debate the budgets for the Committees of Council, which includes the Museum, Small Business Centre, Doctor Recruitment and others.
WOODSTOCK - Budget deliberations continue today at the City of Woodstock.
Council is starting with a base budget of just over $64,058,890, which is a 3.35% increase from 2021 and represents a 1.61% tax change rate.
Today council will debate the budgets for the Committees of Council, which includes the Heritage Advisory, Museum, Economic Development, Small Business Centre, Doctor Recruitment, Information Technology, Engineering/Building/Bylaw & Parking/Transit/Para-Transit, Public Works/Waste/Sewer/Water, Mayor and Council, Final Budget Matters.
On Tuesday council took at Human Resources, Parks and Recreation, Arenas, Aquatics, Cowan Sportsplex, Special Events, Clerks, Fire, Administration Services, Marketing/Communications, CAO and Planning.
Another budget deliberation is set for March 3rd where council will go over the budgets for the Police Board, Library Board and Art Gallery.
Then the final budget approval is scheduled for March 17th.
All of the budget deliberation meetings will be live streamed on YouTube and open to the public. The meeting today starts at 5:00 pm.
