WOODSTOCK - Budget deliberations start today at the City of Woodstock.
Council is starting with a base budget of $64,058,890, which is a 3.35% increase from 2021 and represents a 1.61% tax change rate.
The first meeting today will be live streamed on the City's You Tube channel. Council will look at Human Resources, Parks and Recreation, Arenas, Aquatics, Cowan Sportsplex, Special Events, Clerks, Fire, Administration Services, Marketing/Communications, CAO and Planning today.
The next meeting is on Thursday where council will debate the Committees of Council: Heritage Advisory, Museum, Economic Development, Small Business Centre, Doctor Recruitment, Information Technology, Engineering/Building/Bylaw & Parking/Transit/Para-Transit, Public Works/Waste/Sewer/Water, Mayor and Council, Final Budget Matters.
Another budget deliberation is set for March 3rd where council will go over the budgets for the Police Board, Library Board and Art Gallery.
Then the final budget approval is scheduled for March 17th.
All of the budget deliberation meetings will be live streamed on YouTube and open to the public.
