Library resources will now be delivered to residents in Oxford County as a new program is rolling out.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford County Library is rolling out a new program.
Outreach and Team Librarian, Meagan Brennan, has the details.
"So, bundle of joy is a monthly delivery program. We're going to be serving rural families in Oxford who have just welcomed an infant in the last 12 months. And this is a way for us to keep that connection for you to the library, help bring services to you."
The Ox on the Run will be helping get deliveries to the homes, and when a new bag gets delivered, all you have to do is leave the previous delivery outside, and it will be picked up. Brennan says the program is available for up to a year. She adds that there is one very important note to keep in mind for this program.
"Yes, you do need an Oxford County Library card, but if you don't have one now, we're happy to register one for you. We can do that together on the phone or virtually."
Brennan mentions that getting a library card is completely free, and if you register for one and become part of the program, the physical card will be in the first bag delivered. The program is available for new parents for up to a year, and if you are interested in registering for the service, you can visit the Oxford County Library's website.
