The 51-year-old bus driver has been arrested and charged with homicide and dangerous driving.

The 51-year-old has been charged with nine offences, including two counts of first-degree murder.
Officials have not released the names of the two children that died, but it has been confirmed that they were both four-years-old.
Premier Francois Legault will pay a visit to Laval today to show his support for all of those affected by yesterday's crash. Quebec's opposition leaders will also be there.

Police say the driver has been charged with first degree murder, attempted murder and assault.
A 51-year-old man appeared in court today, and will remain detained.
Doctors say the lives of the six children still in hospital are not in danger.

UPDATE 1: Police are reporting two children are dead and six others were seriously injured after a city bus crashed into a daycare north of Montreal.

QUEBEC - At least eight people have been hospitalized after a city bus crashed into a daycare in Laval, Quebec.
Police have not confirmed how many of the victims are children. The bus driver has been arrested and officers have set up a wide perimeter around the crash site.
Quebec Premier Francois Legault says his thoughts are with the children, the affected families and the daycare employees. He's also sending his ministers of public security and families to the scene.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he's thinking about the kids and he's praying they will be okay.
