Woodstock Police say they clocked a school bus with passengers on board speeding in the Friendly City.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have charged a bus driver with speeding.
Police say the bus had numerous children on board when they caught the driver doing 78 km/hr in a posted 50 km/hr zone. The ticket was issued on Tuesday during a targeted traffic enforcement initiative at Springbank Avenue between James St. and Parkinson Road.
During the blitz police charged seven drivers with speeding. Officers say they do these enforcement's in the interest of community safety.
"Speeding and road safety are a concern for our community and police department. Police want to remind all drivers to slow down, plan ahead and keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel."
