They will not have any visitors in Woodstock this year for Canada's Outdoor Farm Show as the event moves online with a virtual format.
WOODSTOCK - Canada's Outdoor Farm Show is going to look very different this year with no visitors.
They have decided to change the format to a virtual online show, in light of the pandemic. Here is the full statement from the Canada Outdoor Farm Show web site:
"We are disappointed to announce that Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show will not move forward as an in-person event this year. Instead, we are exploring how we can deliver a digital experience to connect farmers with new innovation in a reimagined format. COVID-19 has taken away our choice to learn and connect at in-person events, but we know that harvest will still come this fall and farmers will start planning their spring crops. They will be considering seed choices and other inputs, along with the farm implements needed for the growing season. They will still want to learn about new livestock handling equipment and the latest dairy technology. Like all of us, farmers are facing unprecedented challenges and uncertainties during this pandemic, so we are rolling up our sleeves and exploring new ways to build connections and transfer knowledge through a new digital event. We commit to another update in June that will provide details around a new digital offering."
The farm Show brought thousands of visitors to Oxford County every September and was a huge boost for our local economy.
