If you go to the Woodstock Boston Pizza on a Monday and mention that it's Crime Stoppers Month, a portion of the proceeds from your meal will go to the organization.
OXFORD COUNTY - It's Crime Stoppers Month and Crime Stoppers Oxford is looking to raise money.
There is a partnership with the Woodstock Boston Pizza, which will allow customers to dine in and also help a great cause. Director Jan Hauck says what that entails.
"Every Monday in January is Crime Stoppers Awareness Day. So, all you have to do is head over to Boston Pizza here in Woodstock and say Crime Stoppers sent you, they will give you a good seat and a percentage of your sales will come back to us."
She explains why a campaign like this is so important.
"We have to raise this money ourselves. We are not funded through police, we are not funded through the province, we are not funded in any way, shape or form other than through fundraising."
Hauck adds the money raised could be used to pay any potential reward relating to information given by the public on current police cases in the County.
You can submit an anonymous tip about a local crime to Crime Stoppers of Oxford County online here or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
