The Town of Ingersoll is once again embracing it's agricultural roots with the Harvest Festival. It runs on Saturday at Centennial Park from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
INGERSOLL - The Harvest Festival returns to Ingersoll on Saturday August 31st.
They have full slate of events planned from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm in Centennial Park. Curator of the Ingersoll Cheese and Agriculture Museum Scott Gillies says the Harvest Festival has a rich history in Ingersoll.
"The Ingersoll Harvest Festival has been going for over 20 years as a way to celebrate the end of summer, celebrate the harvest season and celebrating our rich rural roots."
Gillies says they have lined up a lot of musical guests lined up this year.
"We have new musical entertainment lined up, the Ingersoll Pipe Band will be back at 12 0'clock, the Banjo man will be here from 10-2, we other groups coming up and we will have Kenny Archer and friends will be wrapping up the evening from 6-8 pm."
Harvest Festival will also feature agricultural demos, an artisan market, antique machinery displays, and historical exhibits. They will have demonstrations of blacksmithing, spinning and weaving, and plenty of activities for the kids.
Some of the other highlights include dog agility demos, a petting zoo, vendors, inflatable amusements, food trucks, a big board game zone, and they will cap the night off with Fireworks show.
