Woodstock fall hard to Ayr, look to rebound against Paris. Norwich host Delhi.
Woodstock fell hard to Ayr Thursday night.
The Vets were on the road to face off against the first place Centennial.
Ayr took a demanding 5-0 lead earlier in the second after four answered goals in the first period but Woodstock's Tyler Bell picked up his first junior goal with two minutes left in middle frame to get the Vets on the scoreboard.
Tyler Lyons picked up a second goal for Woodstock in the third before Ayr went on to down the Navy Vets 7-2.
The boys are back in action Friday night when they host Paris Mounties who currently sit third in the Mid-west division. Game time at Southwood Arena is 7:45 pm.
The Merchants will also hit the ice Friday night at home. Norwich are hosting Delhi with the puck drop at 8:00 pm.
Over in Thamesford, the Trojans are hosting the Dorchester Dolphins at 7:30 pm.
