The PJHL will see teams move divisions for the 2024-2025 season. Of note, Dorchester will move to the Doherty Division, and get take on the teams in Oxford County.
DORCHESTER - A shake-up coming in the PJHL.
Starting next season, the divisions will see some teams moving, which will balance out how many teams are in each one.
The changes are coming as there will be a new franchise named the Muskoka Bears coming into the League.
With the new team, the League is wanting to make sure every division has 7 or 8 teams, which will make for better scheduling, and allow teams to have a similar path in the playoffs to get to the Schmalz Cup.
Of note, the Dorchester Dolphins will be moving from the Yeck Division to the Doherty Division.
The move will have the Dolphins facing Oxford County's Woodstock Navy Vets, Norwich Merchants, and Tavistock Braves, along with the other teams in the Doherty Division.
The other changes include; Muskoka joining the Carruthers Division, both Caledon and Schomberg shifting to the Orr Division from the Carruthers Division, and North Kawartha along with Lakefield moving from the Orr Division to the Tod Division.
The PJHL is hoping that the re-alignment will create new rivalries within the League.
