Charges Laid

An Ingersoll man is facing charges following a collision in Huron County

GODERICH - A collision has left an Ingersoll man with a pair of charges in Huron County. 

It happened during the noon hour Tuesday in Goderich at the intersection of Huron Road and Bennett Street East. 
 
OPP say a car was stopped on Huron Road waiting to make a turn when a pickup truck rammed into the rear of the car. 
 
Officers say they could tell the pickup driver had been drinking alcohol and then failed three intoxilizer tests. 
 
As a result, 35 year old James Brown of Ingersoll is facing a charge of over the legal limit as well as careless driving and has had his licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven. 
 
Neither driver was injured in the collision.
