Snap a photo, either anywhere on the trail whether it be at a cheese factory, at a cafe, at a restaurant or when you bring the cheese home for a chance to win a big cheese board from Otter Creek Woodworks.
OXFORD COUNTY - Members of Tourism Oxford are encouraging people to check out the cheese trail this summer. To do so they are in the midst of their #TryTheTrail Photo Contest.
Tourism Officer Gabrielle Bossy explains how people can participate.
"Snap a photo, either anywhere on the trail whether it be at a cheese factory, at a cafe, at a restaurant or when they bring the cheese home they can snap a photo. They can enter it on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #TryTheTrail."
Once the photo is posted online, you are entered into the contest for a chance to win a big cheese board from Otter Creek Woodworks.
Bossy tells Heart FM the purpose behind this photo contest.
"We just want to get people out and trying the trail itself. Oxford County has such a great dairy heritage and maybe some people don't know quite the extent of it and we want to educate people as to why we are the dairy capital."
The Oxford County Cheese Trail has lots of stops throughout the entire county, including Gunn's Hill Artisan Cheese, Jakeman's Maple Farm and The Olde Bakery Cafe.
The photo contest will run until the end of 2016.
