The Spray and Play Wading pool beside Southside Aquatic Centre will open this weekend and the City will start slow rolling out some outdoor recreation activities.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is preparing to re-open on Friday as part of phase one of the Provinces Roadmap to Reopen.
The Spray and Play Wading pool beside Southside Aquatic Centre will open this Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5:00 pm. They will have capacity limits and you will be required to book a 1 hour time slot in advance. Bookings open on Friday online at www.recreationwoodstock.ca.
Lions Pool will not open this weekend as it is getting repairs done to the liner and filtration system. It should be ready to open for its normal season at the beginning of July.
Starting Friday, outdoor recreation programs will allowed outdoors with a maximum of 10 people. The City will start advertising programs on the recreation Woodstock web site and on social media.
Sports fields can still not be booked for practices or games; however, they can be booked for socially distanced sports training and participants will be required to stay 3 feet apart. You will also need a safety plan and contact tracing.
To book a sport field for training, please contact 519-539-2382 x2740.
Indoor facilities including Southside Aquatic Centre, Reeves Community Complex and Cowan Park Sportsplex are scheduled to be open after Step 3 of the reopening plan, based on Provincial Guidelines.
