McDonalds is giving out free small coffees during coffee with a cop this month.
WOODSTOCK - This month you can have a coffee with a cop in McDonalds on Norwich Ave.
Coffee with a cop is a province wide partnership between police departments and McDonalds resturants.
Constable, Nikki Vanleeuwen now says the program will be coming to the Friendly City.
"This is an oppertunity for people to enjoy a cup of coffee. Mcdonald's resturant is paying for the coffee. People can come meet in a very casual relaxed atmoshpere and chat with police officers."
The event is on June 22nd between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Vanleeuwen adds that they would lik any concerns to be voiced regarding budget, daily operations, traffic and whatever else others may have in mind.
"We are a community based police department. We want direction from the community on what they like or dont like and what they need from us."
This will not be the last time the program runs in the city, but it will be the first. Woodstock Police Department and McDondald's will be holding two more coffee with a cop events throughout the summer.
