People at the west end Tim Hortons had the opportunity to chat with some of our Woodstock firefighters this morning.
WOODSTOCK - Members of the Woodstock Fire Department stopped by the west end Tim Hortons this morning, to chat with some of the folks enjoying their morning coffee.
They talked about fire safety practices and proper maintenance routines for smoke and c-o alarms.
Jim Morrison had a spoke with their Public Information Coordinator, Lisa Woods.
"I think it's good that people like Lisa are down here doing this so people are aware there's other aspects of the fire department besides keeping the trucks clean and ready to go. I think that's important."
If you missed out this morning, Woods says they will be doing it again.
"We're going to go around to places where we can meet with people that we don't necessarily see on an everyday basis. Hopefully once the word gets out people will come and see us, check out the trucks and bring any questions that they have."
Future dates and locations will be posted on the fire departments Facebook and Twitter pages.
