Environment Canada is predicting wind gusts between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour for this afternoon and evening. Areas close to the eastern shores of the Great Lakes could see the worst of it, with wind gusts close to 90 kilometres per hour possible.
Strong winds can easily toss around loose objects and cause power outages.
This is all thanks to a cold front that's passing through the area today. The temperature is forecasted to drop to minus 3 this afternoon, but it will feel more like minus 11 with the wind chill.
