Council names 13 organizations to receive slot revenue funds
Thirteen local groups are getting grants from the City of Woodstock.
With more than $163,000 to disperse over the year from slot revenues, the City approved 13 of 17 eligible projects Thursday night.
Woodstock Minor Baseball is getting the biggest chunk at $16,000 while Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock, Woodstock District Developmental Services and the Woodstock Legion Athletic Club will all get $10,000 each.
There is nearly $75,000 still available for disbursement this fiscal year.

Fanshawe Singers - Woodstock (Kaleid Choral Festival) - $5,500
Oxford Attack Basketball - $7,000
Ontario Genealogical Society (Oxford County Branch) - $2,000
St John Ambulance - $2,000
Woodstock Badminton Club - $4,000
Woodstock District Developmental Services - $10,000
Woodstock Lawn Bowling Club - $4,000
Woodstock Legion Athletic Club - $10,000
Woodstock Minor Baseball - $16,000
Woodstock Rotary Club Festival of Music - $5,000
Woodstock Santa Claus Parade 2012 - $8,000
