Oxford County Council will look over a $1.08 million construction contract for the Punkeydoodles Corners intersection this week.
OXFORD - A construction contract for Punkeydoodles Corners is on the next Oxford County Council agenda.
It's worth $1.08 million and it highlights several intersection improvements. This includes a new southbound left turn lane, a northbound right turn lane, and deceleration lanes along the curve on Perth Road 101. It also includes some road realignments to improve sightlines and some new lighting.
The work should begin July and wrap up by November.
An Intersection Control Feasibility Study was released back in October 2023 after several people voiced their concerns about the dangerous intersection. It borders Oxford County, Perth County, Wilmot Township, and Waterloo Region.
