Cool Running's Trail Race raises over $10,000 for the local Canadian Cancer Society.
WOODSTOCK - The Cool Running's Trail Race was another huge success at Roth Park.
Manager of the Oxford County Cancer Society Janice Cunningham says it really was a great day.
"It was an amazing event, it was so much fun, the weather couldn't of cooperated any better, it was just fantastic. People had a lot of fun at the event, we had great prizes, great food at the event and we made an astounding $10,660. We are so proud of everybody for all of their donations and our sponsors, Heart FM and All About Health Remedy RX."
She adds all of the money raised at this event will go to support the life saving research done by the Canadian Cancer Society.
"The funds raised at the Cool Runnings Trail race will help to fund the life saving cancer research that is so vital as our cancer incidents continue to climb year after year. It will also go to help support people living with cancer and their families here in Oxford County."
Runners were able to do a 5k walk or run, a 10k run and a kids run around Roth Park on Saturday for the event.
