The free festival will takeover Southside Park this Friday and Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - Cowapalooza weekend is fast approaching in the Friendly City.
There will be lots of live music in Southside Park this weekend, starting things off with Cowapalooza Country on Friday. Coty Robinson will hit the stage at 6:00 p.m. and he will be followed by Ryan Landgon at 7:00 p.m. and a Chris Stapleton tribute band called Outlaw State of Mind at 8:30 p.m.
Cowapalooza Rocks is scheduled for the Saturday evening with The Joel Dupuis Band starting at 6:00 p.m. and Harm & Ease hitting the stage at 7:00 p.m.
Kristen Broadhagen, the Manager of Special Events for the City of Woodstock, is excited about the big headliner this year.
"We end the festival every year with an incredible headliner and this year we have Big Wreck hitting the stage at 8:30 p.m."
They will also have Cowapalooza Kids from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. this Saturday with lots of inflatables, a photobooth and activities from the Woodstock Public Library. There's also going to be a live wrestling display from Independent Pro Wrestling from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Broadhagen says you don't have to stress if you don't have a ride to Southside Park this weekend.
"To alleviate some of the traffic in the area of Southside Park, we have a shuttle bus the entire event that will drop off and pick up from the Civic Centre Arena across town, so please feel free to hop on that."
The City has also extended the public transit hours for the weekend.
Cowapalooza is free to attend, but you will need cash for the marketplace, food trucks, and a beverage garden on site.

Kristen Broadhagen stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Xander and Marcie on Tuesday, August 5th. You can listen to the full interview below:
